I began my career at a large, general practice law firm in New England where for 10 years I handled a variety of corporate, banking, environmental and litigation matters. I then worked at Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 23 years, rising to the post of Deputy General Counsel responsible for the corporate legal affairs of Bethlehem and its 30 world-wide subsidiaries and affiliates. Between Bethlehem Steel and my present position I served as General Counsel of the Oneida Indian Nation and the Turning Stone Resort And Casino in New York.
I graduated from Duke University and Boston University School Of Law, where I earned a JD and a Masters of Law in Taxation. I studied finance and business at Harvard Business School and served in the United States Navy. I am licensed in New York and Maryland, and am admitted to practice at the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States Tax Court.
